Terms of Service

    Last updated: April 11, 2026

    Service Description

slideck is a free, browser-based markdown presentation viewer. It allows you to create, upload, and view slide decks written in markdown. All presentation data is processed and stored locally in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

    Acceptable Use

You agree to use slideck only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service to:

    • Upload or display content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others
    • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
    • Reverse-engineer or tamper with the application beyond normal use

    Intellectual Property

Any content you create or upload to slideck remains entirely yours. We do not claim any ownership or license over your presentations. Your content is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.

The slideck application itself, including its source code, design, and branding, is the property of its authors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

    Disclaimer of Warranties

slideck is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

    Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors and operators of slideck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Because all data is stored locally in your browser, you are responsible for maintaining backups of any presentations you create.

    Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of slideck after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

    Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of slideck shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
